Description:
The main goal of this project is to integrate the various agents and infrastructure elements of a Smart City into a cooperative and massive system that optimizes the urban movements, minimizes the emission of pollutant gases, maximizes the well-being of citizens and provides new business opportunities over the Smart City. To achieve this, we will combine and extend the latest techniques and technologies in data acquisition, processing, storage, querying and publishing, as well as software development techniques in service-oriented open platforms.
The subproject HERMES-SPACE&TIME of the University of A Coruña aims to contribute in the definition and development of the flexible and scalable information system that acts as the kernel of the system, providing our expertise in spatio-temporal data storage and querying, publishing information using Web services, and Linked Open Data.
