José R. Paramá obtained his master in Computer Science at the University of A Coruña in 1994. His Ph.D. studies were founded by the Galician government (Spain) with several grants. He received his Ph.D. in 2001 at the University of A Coruña again. Since 1997 he teaches in the same University. His main research topics are compression and indexation of information and spatial databases.
