Miguel R. Penabad obtained his Master in Computer Science in 1994 at the University of A Coruña. His Ph.D. studies were supported by several Xunta de Galicia grants. He received his Ph.D in 2001 at the Universidade de A Coruña. He is a professor in the same university since 2000. His main research interests are database query optimization, and algorithms and data structures for information retrieval.
